Regional Director – Franchise Sales & Operations Columbia, Maryland | On-Site | Direct Hire Lead the flagship Baltimore-area support center for a well-established, nationally recognized commercial-services and franchise organization with more than 35 years of consistent growth and success. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership opportunity combining franchise support, sales leadership, operational management, team development and financial accountability. The Regional Director will lead the day-to-day performance and profitability of the regional support center while developing employees, supporting independent Franchise Business Owners, strengthening customer relationships and driving new business growth. Franchise experience is highly desirable because of the unique business model and relationships this leader will manage. However, accomplished leaders from hospitality, commercial services, facilities services, field sales and other performance-driven service environments are also encouraged to apply. Position Highlights Direct hire, full-time and on-site in Columbia, Maryland Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend responsibilities based on business needs
Base salary:
$100,000–$120,000, based on experience Annual commission potential: approximately $20,000–$30,000-plus, paid monthly Year-end bonus potential: approximately $5,000–$10,000 Total annual earning potential: approximately $125,000–$160,000-plus Medical, dental and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Vacation and PTO accrual Monthly Friday-afternoon team-building events Recognition-trip potential Limited travel, primarily for an annual conference and occasional training Lead approximately five direct reports initially, with anticipated growth to as many as 10 Opportunity to lead a well-established flagship regional office within a respected national brand What You Will Lead Direct the daily sales, operational and financial performance of the regional support center. Develop short- and long-term business plans to support revenue growth, profitability, staffing and organizational goals. Lead, coach and hold sales, operations and administrative employees accountable for clearly defined goals and performance metrics. Coach sales representatives through field ride-alongs, prospecting, cold calling, customer presentations and closing activity. Monitor CRM activity, sales pipelines, customer notes, follow-up tasks, forecasts and daily performance trackers. Review bids and proposals for accuracy, competitiveness and profitability before they are presented to prospective customers. Oversee activities related to franchise sales, development and ongoing Franchise Business Owner support. Build productive relationships with Franchise Business Owners and help them strengthen and grow their businesses. Partner with sales and operations employees to achieve new-account growth, customer satisfaction and account-retention goals. Prepare and communicate budget forecasts, business trends, personnel needs and operational priorities to executive leadership.
What We Are Looking For:
At least three years of successful management experience with responsibility for people, performance and business results. Proven experience leading both sales and operations within a branch, region, market, business unit or service organization. Hands-on experience coaching sales representatives and managing measurable sales activity. Strong understanding of CRM systems, sales pipelines, forecasting and performance metrics. Experience with P&L management, budgeting, revenue growth or overall profitability is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to develop employees, address underperformance and build accountable teams. Experience managing customer relationships, service issues, retention and business growth. Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, prospects and independent business owners. Action-oriented leadership style with the drive and follow-through to achieve results. Bachelor’s degree OR an outstanding record of progressive professional achievement. Ability to work on-site and remain visible and engaged with employees, customers and Franchise Business Owners. Highly Desirable Experience Franchise operations, franchise development or Franchise Business Owner support Commercial cleaning, janitorial, facilities or building services Hospitality or hotel general management with full operational and financial responsibility Telecommunications, wireless, cable, satellite or other field-sales organizations Security, restoration, pest control, landscaping, uniform services or other route-based service businesses Regional business planning, budgeting, forecasting and P&L ownership Outside-sales coaching, field ride-alongs and new-business development Malone Workforce Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
