PROPOSAL SPECIALIST 3-6 month contract, 40 hours a week. Hybrid for onboarding then fully remote position.
Position Overview:
- Contract to hire, immediate need
- Fully remote, initial in-office training required in Lakewood, CO40 hours/week, 3-6 month contract to start
- Priority deliverable: produce a fully formatted, elevated, and edited proposal by end of October
About the Role:
- Seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Must manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Self-starter with strong proposal coordination, writing, editing, and document production skills
- Collaborates directly with technical and operational teams to deliver high-quality, compliant proposal submissions
- Deep, expert-level command of Microsoft Word required: page numbers, section breaks, formatting, styles, templates, inside and out
- No coding required
Required Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word (non-negotiable) — must be able to independently handle complex formatting, styles, page numbering, section breaks, and document structure Advanced proficiency across Microsoft 365, particularly Word, Outlook, and Teams 3+ years of marketing, proposal coordination, or related experience in a fast-paced professional environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- A/E/C (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry experience preferred
- Strong proposal, SOQ, RFQ, and RFP development experience
- Exceptional written communication, editing, proofreading, and document quality control skills
- Excellent organization, time management, and deadline management abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to analyze complex solicitation requirements and ensure compliance
- Collaborative team player who builds relationships with technical staff, project managers, and leadership
- Proactive problem solver, adaptable to changing priorities
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and other Adobe Creative Cloud applications
- Experience with graphic design, branding, and visual communication
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Smartsheet, and/or Templafy is a plus
