Job Description: NICU Registered Nurse (RN)
Location:
Seattle, WAPosition Overview We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Level III-IV NICU settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attitude, be friendly, and demonstrate excellent clinical skills in caring for high-risk neonatal patients.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Level III-IV NICUCurrent BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS certification preferred
- Active Washington state nursing license
- Experience with respiratory support for ventilators required; trach experience highly preferred
- Proficient in managing g-tubes, NG/OG, NCPAP, UAC/UVC, and PICC lines
- Knowledge of medication administration and care planning, including discharge processes
- Patient Population
- Responsibilities will include care for patients with a variety of conditions, including:
- Prematurity (down to 22 weeks gestation)
- Respiratory distress syndrome (RDS)
- High-risk deliveries
- Feeders and growers
- Neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS)
Preferred experience:
surgical patients and hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) Work Environment This position is part of a pediatric hospital with a Level IV NICU, which accommodates 70 NICU beds with a typical census of around 50 patients. The NICU features private rooms and provides overflow for Level II nursery patients.
