Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to support outpatient infusion pharmacy operations. The primary location is Hinsdale, IL, with travel to New Lenox and Morris as needed.
Responsibilities:
Prepare sterile IV medications and infusion admixtures using aseptic techniques.
Handle hazardous medications following established safety protocols.
Measure, label, and prepare medications according to patient-specific orders.
Manage medication inventory and maintain accurate compounding documentation.
Maintain cleanroom standards and comply with USP 797 and USP 800 requirements.
Coordinate medication preparation with scheduled infusion treatments.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician license or registration.
At least one year of sterile compounding or IV room experience.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and hazardous drug handling.
PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
