About the role

About Maruti Techlabs Maruti Techlabs is a software engineering and AI services firm with 200+ engineers, serving US enterprise clients in legal, insurance, and healthcare. We build custom software, AI and GenAI solutions, and integrations for organizations whose off-the-shelf tools don’t fully meet their needs. In the legal industry, we work with AmLaw firms to build custom applications, deploy AI for knowledge and practice support, and ensure quality through testing.
The Role: This is a new-logo role. You’ll open doors at AmLaw 200 and large regional law firms, build pipelines from the ground up, and close new services engagements. Once a client is signed, our delivery and account teams take over the day-to-day relationship, so your focus stays on winning new firms. This is a builder role. You won’t inherit a territory, a big-brand inbound engine, or a large sales support team. Instead, you’ll have direct access to leadership, a proven delivery team, strong client references, and real influence over how we go to market in the legal industry.
What You’ll Do: Build and run a pipeline of new law firm clients, primarily AmLaw 200, through your network, targeted outreach, events, and referrals. Engage the full range of legal technology buyers, including CIOs, Chief Innovation Officers, Chief Knowledge Officers, Directors of Applications, Knowledge Management leaders, and legal operations leaders. Lead discovery to understand each firm’s business and technology challenges, then shape tailored services engagements with our solutions architects. Own proposals, SOWs, pricing discussions, and negotiations through to signature. Represent Maruti at legal technology events (ILTA, ILTACON, Legalweek, and similar) and in the legal tech community. Identify partnership opportunities within legal platform ecosystems such as iManage, NetDocuments, Litera, and Intapp. Keep CRM, forecasts, and pipeline reporting accurate.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Must-haves 10+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience, with at least 5 years selling into law firms.
  • A track record of selling technology services, consulting, or highly customized SaaS, including scoping and closing engagements without a fixed price list.
  • Existing relationships with technology, innovation, or knowledge leaders at AmLaw firms.
  • Demonstrated ability to build pipelines from scratch without relying on inbound demand.
  • Strong understanding of how law firms buy: partner committees, budget cycles, security reviews, and risk aversion.
  • Comfort working with a global delivery team across time zones.
  • Strong pluses
  • Experience at a legal technology consultancy, implementation partner, or platform company.
  • Experience opening a new market or being an early sales hire at a smaller firm.
  • Familiarity with legal AI and GenAI adoption in law firms.
  • Prior experience as a law firm IT, innovation, or knowledge management leader, combined with subsequent quota-carrying sales experience.
  • Active involvement in ILTA or similar legal technology communities.
Location: Remote, anywhere in the US
Compensation: Base salary $160,000–$190,000, plus uncapped commission
