Corporate Safety Coordinator

Key Responsibilities: Policy Development: Create, implement, and update safety policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Audits & Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards. Stay current on evolving best practices. Training: Facilitate safety training for all employees and new hires, focusing on company policy, emergency procedures, and proper equipment use. Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into workplace accidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions. Record Keeping: Maintain organized, audit-ready records of safety training, incident reports, and regulatory documentation. Emergency Response: Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans and procedures. Liaison & Communication: Serve as the point of contact for employees, management, and external parties (OSHA, insurance reps, union officials, and contractors).PPE Oversight: Manage the acquisition, inspection, and proper use of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Required Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).

Experience: Proven experience in a safety role within a manufacturing or construction environment.

Certifications: OSHA 10-hour certification required; OSHA 30-hour preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with safety management software is a strong plus.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work for extended periods on various surfaces and navigate potentially hazardous industrial environments.
