This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality surgical care to pediatric patients in a supportive and collaborative environment. As a Locum Pediatric Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in delivering surgical interventions for infants and children, ensuring their health and well-being. You will collaborate closely with a team of healthcare professionals to manage patient care and participate in various surgical procedures. This role is perfect for an associate-level professional eager to make a significant impact in the medical field while working in a dynamic practice setting.
Responsibilities:
Perform surgical procedures on pediatric patients Conduct pre-operative and post-operative evaluations Collaborate with pediatricians and other specialists Provide comprehensive patient care and support Document patient history and treatment plans accurately Participate in surgical rounds and case discussions Educate patients and families about surgical procedures Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in surgery
Requirements:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certification in Pediatric Surgery Valid medical license to practice in the state Experience in a pediatric surgical setting is preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Commitment to providing compassionate patient care Knowledge of current medical practices and technologies
Schedule:
Friday-Sunday (24-hour call), 2 weekends per monthEMR: Epic Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
