Network Security Architect

Location: Remote Contract Position

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Network Security Architect / Lead to provide end-to-end ownership of enterprise network security architecture, with Palo Alto Networks as the primary security platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on and architectural experience with Palo Alto NGFW and Panorama, along with solid knowledge of Cisco enterprise switching, Cisco Meraki wireless, and Cisco DNA Center. This role will provide technical leadership, architectural governance, and hands-on guidance to network and security engineering teams while collaborating with security, network, cloud, and infrastructure stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities: Network Security Architecture & Leadership Own and lead enterprise network security architecture and design. Design and standardize Palo Alto NGFW architectures, including: Network segmentation and security zones Security and NAT policiesIPS/IDS and threat preventionURL filtering and SSL decryption Remote-access and site-to-site VPNLead Palo Alto Panorama architecture and governance, including templates, device groups, and standards. Review and approve firewall changes, architecture designs, and security exceptions. Provide technical leadership for firewall migrations, upgrades, and modernization initiatives. Ensure security architecture aligns with industry best practices and frameworks such as NIST and CIS.
