Part-Time Bakery Assistant Rocky Top Catering is a full-service catering company known for creating memorable food experiences across the Triangle. From large-scale events to intimate gatherings, our team is passionate about quality, creativity, and delivering exceptional service. We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bakery Assistant to join our team. This role supports our pastry and bakery operations by assisting with production, preparation, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Ideal for someone who enjoys baking, works well in a fast-paced setting, and takes pride in consistency and will be 2-3 mornings a week Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities:
Assist with preparation and production of baked goods, desserts, and pastries Follow recipes and production schedules accurately Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients Support chefs with decorating, finishing, and plating items Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and bakery areas Properly store ingredients and finished products Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Assist with packing and labeling for events as needed
Qualifications:
Previous bakery, pastry, or kitchen experience preferred (but not required)Passion for baking and willingness to learn Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail and consistency Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs Flexible availability, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
