HVAC Installation Technician - Unit Replacement Specialist

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled HVAC Installation Technician to remove and replace residential, commercial, and government HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have experience installing new HVAC units, troubleshooting installation issues, and ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications, safety standards, and local building codes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Remove and dispose of existing HVAC equipment, including condensers, air handlers, furnaces, package units, and related components. Install new HVAC systems, ductwork modifications, refrigerant lines, electrical connections, and condensate drains. Perform system start-up, testing, balancing, and troubleshooting. Recover and charge refrigerant in accordance with EPA regulations. Read blueprints, specifications, and installation instructions. Ensure all installations comply with local codes and company quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Complete installation reports and required documentation. Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members. Follow OSHA and company safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of HVAC installation experience preferred. Experience replacing and upgrading existing HVAC systems. EPA Certification preferred. Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Special Requirements: Must be able to pass a background check and obtain access to military installations, including Navy bases. Must be eligible to work on secure government and military job sites. Ability to comply with all base access and security requirements.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor environments. Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing for extended periods. Ability to safely use ladders, power tools, and HVAC installation equipment.

Preferred Skills: Experience with residential and commercial HVAC replacements. Knowledge of heat pumps, split systems, package units, and gas furnaces. Sheet metal fabrication and ductwork modification experience. Military base, government facility, or federal project experience is a plus.
