Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Director to join their dynamic and growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in restructuring, turnaround, investment banking, consulting, or a related field, and possess exceptional leadership skills and financial modeling skills—particularly in 13-week cash flow forecasting. This is a high-impact role that offers meaningful responsibility across engagements from day one, diagnosing performance issues, leading financial and operational workstreams, and driving execution across restructuring and turnaround projects.

Key Responsibilities: Lead client engagements focused on turnaround, liquidity management, restructuring, and operational improvement Develop and manage detailed 13-week cash flow models, business plans, and operational roadmaps Evaluate business viability and create restructuring strategies aligned with client goals and stakeholder expectations Advise on debt restructuring, refinancing strategies, and negotiations with lenders and creditors Manage day-to-day communication with clients, advisors, lenders, and investors Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to business development efforts Support clients across industries, with a strong preference for those with consumer industry experience

Qualifications: 7+ years of relevant experience in restructuring, turnaround, financial advisory, or investment banking Strong proficiency in financial modeling and 13-week cash flow forecasting Track record of success in leading restructuring engagements or driving operational change Experience working with distressed businesses, both in- and out-of-court processes (e.g., Ch. 11, ABCs)Exposure to the consumer sector is highly preferred Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and manage multiple stakeholders Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA, CPA, or CFA is a plus The Equus Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and takes pride in maintaining a diverse environment.
