Heavy Assembler

Location: Sumterville, FL

What you'll do: Fit, align, calibrate and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements Read blueprints and verify the parts required prior to assembly Inform supervisors of any parts or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem Repair units or products that have failed to meet requirements Attach components to finished product as specified Lay out reference points, positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated parts according to blueprint and layout specifications Identify parts that need repair and perform repairs as necessary Maybe involved in safety committees or initiatives Follows safety rules and practices

What you'll need: Able to read a tape measure Able to lift 65+ pounds, repeatedly 2+ years of experience in general assembly work Steel yard experience is preferred Ability to read blueprints and layout specifications Ability to operate mobile equipment Identify and match up sub-assembly to final product Experience with power and air tools to apply appropriate torque sequence and values Strong attention to detail Able to work in all-weather elements and loud noises Basic communication skills

Working Conditions: Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds. This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays.
