Registered Nurse In An Educational Environment Step into a rewarding contract position providing essential healthcare support to students and staff as a Registered Nurse in an educational environment. Qualifications/Preferred Experience:
- Current, unrestricted RN license
- Previous experience in an educational or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, triage, and care planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities; adept at working with children, parents, and staffCPR/BLS certification (required)
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal health regulations for schools
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and address student health needs, including management of chronic conditions, injuries, and acute illnesses
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and school policies
- Maintain accurate student health records, documenting interventions and care plans
- Collaborate with educators, counselors, and parents to support student wellness and individual health plans
- Promote health education and preventive care through classroom presentations and outreach
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed on campus
- Monitor communicable disease prevention and report concerns to appropriate authorities
- Ensure a welcoming and confidential environment for all students
