Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Overtime Expectations: Anticipate 300-600 hours of overtime annually Benefits of Joining Our Team: Attractive hourly wages supplemented by substantial overtime potential Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Retirement savings plan featuring a company match Generous paid time off and observed holidays Continuous professional development and skill-building opportunities Your Responsibilities as a Lead Transformer Technician Guide a crew of technicians to ensure the successful installation, upkeep, and service of distribution and oil-filled power transformers Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues within transformer systems Manage routine maintenance schedules and address urgent repair needs Conduct essential electrical testing, such as power factor, TTR, insulation resistance, and DGA, to ensure system integrity Supervise vacuum filling, oil processing, and various testing protocols Help maintain a safe working environment by strictly following industry regulations and company safety policies Generate comprehensive service documentation and maintain precise project records Provide mentorship and technical training to junior staff members Foster strong client relationships by providing clear updates on project status and technical details Qualifications for Our Lead Transformer Technician High school diploma or GED is mandatory; an associate degree or technical school training is highly desirable Minimum of four years of hands‑on experience working with power transformers Comprehensive understanding of transformer repair, maintenance, and system operations Proficiency in utilizing various electrical testing tools and methodologies Demonstrated ability to lead teams and communicate effectively to drive project success Capability to analyze and interpret complex technical drawings and electrical schematics Possession of a clean driver’s license and the flexibility to travel frequently for work Possession of OSHA 10 or 30 certification is considered an asset
