Concrete/Cement Laboratory Technician

Responsibilities: Prepare and perform testing in the concrete batching laboratory Durability testing on concrete products Conduct technical work on laboratory projects with oversight of senior staff Perform various chemical tests on cementitious materials and mortars Perform various mortar tests on cementitious materials Prepare samples for petrographic analysis by making petrographic thin sections, and sample cutting and polishing Maintain well organized laboratory and project timelines Willing and able to learn new methods and techniques for testing cementitious materials Ability to move from task to task efficiently and effectively

Required Skills and Experience: 0 - 2 years of work experience in the aggregates, concrete or cement industry A safety first attitude Ability to conduct technical laboratory work and follow standard testing procedures such as ACI and/or ASTM A Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical concepts Detail oriented Ability to work in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills Microsoft Office 365 experience Ability to lift 50 lbs.
