About the role

About Rosselle Consulting Rosselle Consulting is an independent, outsourced risk management consulting firm located in Gainesville, Florida. We are a fee-for-service firm and do not sell insurance or receive commissions from the sale of insurance. Instead, we work on behalf of our Clients, helping them navigate their insurance policies and working with multiple insurance agencies to obtain favorable coverage and cost terms. We are a small company of fewer than 20 employees, which means each member of our team plays an important role. Our goal is for each Account Manager to become an integral part of their Clients’ businesses — not simply someone who handles insurance matters only. We are looking for a full-time Commercial Lines Account Manager who can take ownership of a book of accounts, develop strong Client relationships, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and contribute to the continued growth of our company. An Account Manager Trainer will provide direct support during the training phase. Our Commercial Lines Account Managers also work closely with Personal Lines Account Team and Account Support Staff who assist with other aspects of our Clients’ insurance programs.
About the Role: As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you will serve as a primary point of contact for your assigned Clients and act as an advocate for their insurance and risk management needs. Unlike a traditional insurance agency Account Manager position, this is not a sales or production role. Our Account Managers represent the Client’s interests and coordinate with multiple insurance agencies and other insurance professionals on the Client’s behalf. You will be expected to take ownership of your accounts, keep projects moving, identify items requiring attention, and ensure that Clients and team members remain informed throughout the process.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Manage the commercial insurance renewal and marketing processes for assigned Clients. This includes gathering exposure information, underwriting information, and other information necessary to properly market and renew coverage. Serve as a liaison and advocate for Clients by coordinating with multiple insurance agencies and directing insurance negotiations to obtain favorable coverage and cost terms. Develop a strong understanding of each Client’s business, operations, exposures, and insurance needs. Build and maintain strong relationships with Clients, insurance agents, and other industry professionals. Respond to Client questions, requests, and insurance-related needs in a timely and professional manner. Review insurance policies, endorsements, proposals, and other coverage documents for accuracy and adequacy. Manage renewals, marketings, endorsements, claims, and other insurance-related projects from initiation through completion. Maintain an accurate suspense and follow-up system for items requiring action or response and ensure deadlines are met. Maintain accurate and timely documentation within our project management system, including project status, tasks, follow-up dates, and relevant account activity. Coordinate with other Teams to ensure the Client’s needs are addressed and work is completed efficiently. Exercise independent judgment to identify issues, determine appropriate next steps, and escalate matters when necessary. The duties listed above are intended to describe the principal functions and general level of responsibility associated with this position. They are not an all-inclusive list of work requirements. Employees may perform other duties as assigned, including assisting in other functional areas to provide coverage during absences, accommodate peak workloads, or support the overall needs of the company.
What Success Looks Like: A successful Account Manager at Rosselle Consulting is organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable taking ownership of their responsibilities. You should be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, recognize when something requires attention, follow through without needing continual reminders, and communicate clearly with Clients, insurance professionals, and coworkers. Because we work collaboratively, accurate documentation is also essential. Our systems are designed so that another team member can understand the status of an account or project and step in when necessary. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who wants to learn their Clients’ businesses and become a trusted part of their risk management team.
Qualifications: PreferredPrevious experience with commercial insurance, insurance policies, or insurance-related matters is preferred but not required. Experience in an insurance agency, risk management, business management, accounting, finance, or another role involving responsibility for a company’s insurance program or business operations.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to exercise independent judgment and take ownership of responsibilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build professional relationships with Clients and insurance professionals. Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a collaborative team environment. Strong follow-through and ability to independently identify and address outstanding items. Ability and willingness to learn complex insurance concepts and apply them to individual Client situations.
