HR Specialist – Employee Relations
Location: Miami, FL 33132
Work Arrangement: Fully onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility to work extended hours as business needs require
Salary: $70,000 annually

Position Overview: We are seeking a bilingual HR Specialist with a strong focus on Employee Relations to join a large, fast-paced organization in the Miami area. This position will partner closely with employees and management on workplace investigations, progressive discipline, performance management, manager coaching, and employee-relations documentation. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on employee-relations experience and the ability to manage sensitive workplace matters with sound judgment, professionalism, consistency, and confidentiality.
Responsibilities: Manage employee-relations matters, including workplace investigations, employee complaints, performance concerns, and progressive discipline. Conduct or substantially support workplace investigations from initial complaint through interviews, documentation, findings, and appropriate next steps. Partner with managers on employee conduct, communication, attendance, and performance concerns. Coach managers on appropriate employee-relations processes and documentation. Draft and review employee-relations documentation, including disciplinary actions, written warnings, performance documentation, and investigation summaries. Support performance-management processes and employee-development initiatives. Ensure employee-relations practices and documentation align with company policies and applicable employment requirements. Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential employee documentation. Prepare reports and organize HR information using Microsoft Excel. Support positive workplace relations and broader HR initiatives. Assist with candidate flow and other HR department needs as required. Support additional HR and business initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications: 2+ years of professional Human Resources experience with hands-on exposure to employee relations, workplace investigations, and/or performance management. Hands-on experience conducting or substantially supporting workplace investigations involving employee complaints, misconduct, policy violations, or other workplace concerns. Experience supporting progressive discipline and performance-management processes. Experience coaching or advising managers on employee conduct, performance, or workplace concerns. Experience preparing or reviewing formal employee-relations documentation. Ability to speak, read, and write professionally in both English and Spanish. Current authorization to work in the United States on a permanent basis without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future. Ability to work fully onsite in Miami, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.Flexibility to work extended hours when business needs require. Working knowledge of applicable employment laws and HR practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience using Excel for HR tracking, reporting, and analysis, including VLOOKUPs or comparable functions. Experience working with an HRIS.Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organization, time management, prioritization, and attention to detail. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee matters. Education Candidates must meet at least one of the following: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field Currently pursuing a relevant bachelor's degree Current HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCPPreferred Experience Experience managing multiple employee-relations matters simultaneously. Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced operational environment. Experience preparing documentation related to legal or employee-relations matters. Previous HR experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare, or another operational environment.
