Football Coach

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, organize, and conduct practices and competitions in accordance with CIF rules and district guidelines Teach sport-specific skills, strategies, and conditioning techniques appropriate for high school athletes Supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, travel, and team activities Foster a positive team culture emphasizing sportsmanship, character, equity, and respect Ensure compliance with CIF bylaws, league rules, eligibility requirements, and transfer regulations Monitor and support student-athlete academic eligibility and attendance Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents/guardians, athletic directors, administrators, and school staff Maintain accurate records including rosters, eligibility, injury reports, and required CIF documentation Coordinate with athletic trainers and follow district concussion management and injury protocols Maintain, inventory, and properly store athletic equipment and uniforms Supervise assistant coaches and volunteers in compliance with CIF and district policies Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge of the sport, CIF rules, and high school athletics Demonstrated ability to work effectively with high school-aged students Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Commitment to the educational mission of interscholastic athleticsCIF & District Required Certifications (must be completed prior to coaching):Fingerprint DOJ/FBI ClearanceCIF Coaching Education Program (CEP) Coaches Full Certification Fundamentals of Coaching First Aid, CPR & AEDCPR/First Aid Training Sudden Cardiac Arrest awareness training Heat Illness Training Concussion in Sports Certification (CIF-approved)TB clearance Completion of all district-mandated Keenan trainings

Work Schedule: Practices and competitions occur after school, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the CIF season of sport.
