Prominent international law firm is in need of an Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal for the Washington DC office. The Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal will: Assist attorneys with all phases of intellectual property litigation, including patent disputes and UCC law matters, ensuring adherence to procedural requirements. Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing Westlaw, Lexis Nexis, and other legal databases to support case strategy and filings. Manage and organize case files using document review platforms such as iManage and document management systems to ensure accuracy and confidentiality. Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, responses, and correspondence with clients and courts. Coordinate depositions, interviews, and meetings by scheduling appointments and preparing necessary documentation. Maintain detailed case calendars to track deadlines, court dates, and procedural milestones across multiple cases. Support administrative functions such as data entry, filing, and maintaining client confidentiality in compliance with firm policies. Facilitate communication between clients, attorneys, experts, and court personnel to ensure timely updates on case developments. Have extensive knowledge of intellectual property law including patent law and UCC law; familiarity with other areas such as environmental law or tribal regulations is a plus.
