About the role

Grinder Position Overview At Unified Door & Hardware Group (UDHG), our Grinders play a critical role in ensuring the quality and presentation of welded metal door frames. With precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to craftsmanship, you are an essential part of the production processhelping UDHG deliver high-performance door solutions that meet rigorous industry standards. Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

Grinding & Finishing
Grind and finish welded frames
Perform quality control inspections of finished framed while staging
Staging & Material Handling
Staging of completed work
Assist loading crew in locating and staging of completed work
Pulling/Staging of stock material to be welded
Putting incoming stock into racks and shelves
SafetyMaintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment
Use proper lifting techniques
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing

Physical Requirements: Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying building materials weighing approximately 100 pounds, using proper lifting procedures; and occasionally pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying greater weights. Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces. Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED required
Vocational or technical training in machining or tool and dye making preferred
Certifications preferred:
National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS)OSHA safety certificationAWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

Compensation and Benefits: Reports ToCompensationThe listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
