Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineer Direct Hire | Full-Time | Onsite | Clearance Eligible Required We are seeking Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) Engineers at multiple career levels to support advanced aerospace and defense programs. Experience: 0-3 Years
Pay Range: $30-$43/Hour Journeyman R&M Engineer
Experience: 3-10 Years
Pay Range: $40-$67/Hour Senior R&M Engineer
Experience: 10+ Years
Pay Range: $67-$90/Hour
Position Overview:
The selected candidates will contribute to reliability, maintainability, and diagnostic engineering activities supporting aircraft platforms and associated systems. Responsibilities include analyzing system performance, identifying reliability risks, supporting testing efforts, and providing recommendations that improve operational readiness and lifecycle performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, review, and support Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program requirements and engineering documentation. Perform reliability analyses, maintainability assessments, failure trend evaluations, and system performance studies. Calculate and track reliability metrics, availability measures, and maintainability indicators. Participate in reliability-focused reviews, corrective action boards, and failure investigation efforts. Analyze technical data to identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions. Support engineering teams by evaluating design changes and their potential impact on reliability and maintainability objectives. Assist with reliability growth initiatives, qualification testing, environmental testing, and system validation activities. Support development and integration of diagnostic, health monitoring, and built-in test (BIT) capabilities. Gather, maintain, and analyze failure and maintenance data within FRACAS or similar tracking systems. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for program leadership and customers. Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Minimum Qualifications:
Junior Level (0-3 Years)Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Electronics, Aeronautics, or a related technical discipline. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Journeyman Level (3-10 Years)Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.3+ years of experience in Reliability Engineering, Maintainability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, or a related discipline. Experience supporting engineering analysis, testing, or performance assessment activities. Ability to interpret technical requirements and engineering documentation. Senior Level (10+ Years)Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.10+ years of experience supporting reliability, maintainability, systems engineering, aerospace, defense, or related technical programs. Demonstrated experience leading R&M efforts, reliability assessments, and engineering reviews. Ability to mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across program teams.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Experience with one or more of the following is highly desirable: Reliability modeling and statistical analysis Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA/FMECA)Root Cause Analysis (RCA)Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action Systems (FRACAS)Reliability growth methodologies Risk and criticality assessments Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA)Integrated Vehicle Health Management Systems (IVHMS)Built-In Test (BIT) development and evaluation Aerospace, aircraft, rotorcraft, or defense program experience DoD acquisition lifecycle knowledge and systems development processes
Security Clearance Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance, up to and including Top Secret level. Ability to work in secure government and classified environments is required.
