Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care in a combined adult and pediatric emergency department setting with mixed/shared acuity levels at a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio Performmandatory phlebotomyandIV placementas required skills for all RNs in this role Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; administer emergency medications, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, and continuous IV paralytics Administer blood products, manage central lines, and support procedural sedation administration Provide care for CVA patients and maintain strict isolation precautions as indicated Float to other units when census warrants

Required Qualifications: Active, unencumbered New York State RN license required — must be in hand at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted) Minimum 1 year of emergency department experience (first-time travelers accepted) BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSScertifications required Epic EMR experience is a hard requirement Proficiency in phlebotomy, IV insertion, management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, and procedural sedation Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible Preferred Experience / Skills Experience with CVA patient management and isolation precaution protocols Familiarity with block scheduling in a travel or contract setting Minimal time-off requests preferred during assignment
