Overview In this contract role, you will help build a new streaming platform for IP Detail Records by developing scalable, real-time data collection systems. You will operate within an Open Stack environment leveraging a multi-language stack to process billions of records daily. You’ll connect streaming components like Kafka and Storm and work with MongoDB, contributing to open-source efforts around the project. The role blends hands-on engineering with cross-functional collaboration to shape a scalable data foundation. This is an opportunity to contribute to a visible, community-driven streaming initiative. Responsibilities Build distributed, high-throughput, real-time data collection systems Work with Go, Scala, C/C++, Java or other languages in a multi-language stack Integrate with Kafka and Storm for data streaming; use MongoDBContribute to open-sourcing the project and help grow an open-source community Key requirements Significant experience with Go and its standard library Progressive experience with Scala, Java or C/C++ (Perl/Python a plus)Ability to work in a full-stack team with operations and QAStrong collaboration with non-developers Focus on code simplicity and performance Startup-like mindset within a large enterprise Demonstrated coding chops on Git Hub Bonus: experience with building data pipelines; familiarity with MongoDB, Kafka, Stormcollaborativestrong communicationteam-oriented GoScala Java
