Job Description:
The Optician/Optometric Technician plays a vital role in supporting optometry professionals by assisting patients, conducting preliminary vision tests, and managing optical products and records. This position involves regular collaboration with optometrists to ensure high-quality patient care in a medium-volume clinical setting. The technician utilizes specialized optical equipment such as lensometers, autorefractors, and retinal imaging devices to aid in accurate diagnostics and patient service.
Responsibilities:
Assist patients with frame selection and adjustments Schedule and manage appointments efficiently Support vision testing using equipment including lensometers, autorefractors, and visual field analyzers Assist in maintaining inventory of frames, contact lenses, and optical supplies Deliver excellent customer service and address patient inquiries Keep accurate patient records and test results
Preferred Qualifications:
2 or more years of experience in optometry support High school diploma or equivalent
