Cardiovascular Surgery Physician Assistant Opportunity | Southwest Florida | Leadership Potential
Join an established cardiovascular surgery team in Southwest Florida as a Surgical Physician Assistant supporting patients across the full continuum of care. This opportunity offers broad surgical involvement, including first-assist responsibilities and vein harvesting, with potential for future leadership. Vein Harvesting experience is required.
Position Highlights:
- Comprehensive surgical PA role spanning inpatient, outpatient, surgical, and telehealth care
- First-assist responsibilities during cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Vein harvesting experience required
- Preoperative, postoperative, and follow-up patient management
- Hospital rounds, patient evaluations, consultations, and care coordination
- Opportunity for leadership within the surgical program
- Schedule & Call
- Weekday, weeknight, weekend, and holiday call coverage as assigned
- On-call responsibilities include clinical decision-making and patient management across surgical care settings
- Collaborative coverage model with the cardiovascular surgical team
- Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of APP experience
- Vein harvesting experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current Physician Assistant licensure in the applicable stateNCCPA certification required
- Live & Work in Southwest Florida
