Job Description
Department: Shipping/Receiving
Manager: Shipping Supervisor
Direct Reports: NoneOther key team/positions: Production and Support Teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure food safety, quality and legality.
- Computer Skills a Must have
- Data Entry
- Organized, communication skills, and punctuality A MustScan and prepare product for shipment
- Responsible for freezer maintenance
- Palletize product from production and outside sources
- Assist in other departmental areas as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day; free use of hands and free range of arm movement; ability to bend repeatedly at the waist for 8-10 hours per day; ability to safely walk to and in the plant; ability to properly wear personal protective equipment, sanitary equipment, and any other equipment necessary for certain departments; ability to work in all weather conditions; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; ability to work in cold temperatures (usually 0-45 degrees Fahrenheit)
Skills and Knowledge:
- Oral communication
- Good character
- Basic knowledge of process tracking
- Adherence to Company policies and standards
- Forklift and pallet jack training and certification A Plus
- Advanced knowledge of departmental areas and procedures
- Knowledge of GMPs, dress code, and safety rules
