We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Assistant Controller to join the Finance leadership team of a highly regarded organization within the aviation and infrastructure sector in New York. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting professional who brings strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience managing complex financial operations.
Key Responsibilities: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes. Oversee financial reporting, general ledger integrity, and balance sheet reconciliations. Perform detailed P&L analysis and financial variance reporting. Manage external audits and support regulatory and contractual compliance. Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures. Oversee ERP systems, financial reporting improvements, and process automation. Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting professionals. Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional departments on financial initiatives.
Ideal Candidate Profile: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.7–10 years of progressive accounting experience.2–3 years of supervisory or management experience. Strong US GAAP and financial reporting knowledge. Experience managing audits and financial close processes. xhqgsiq Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Business Central, or another major ERP.Aviation, infrastructure, construction, transportation, or real estate experience is a plus.
