Practice Setting and Clinical ScopeThis opportunity is set within a well-supported inpatient environment where you will manage pediatric admissions and provide care for newborns. The average patient volume includes 2-4 neonates per day and 1-2 pediatric patients, with potential increases during seasonal peaks such as RSV and cold seasons. The role is integral to maintaining high-quality care standards and ensuring comprehensive coverage for pediatric patients. Schedule and Assignment Details The position involves 24-hour shifts, with handoffs typically occurring at 4am or 4pm. You can expect to work 10-15 shifts per month, with coverage needed for specific dates starting October 22. This schedule allows for a dynamic and engaging work-life balance. The role is designed to provide continuous coverage for one year, offering both stability and the chance to immerse yourself in the community. Support and Work Environment As part of a collaborative team, you will have the support of a comprehensive healthcare network. The EMR system in use is Meditech, facilitating seamless patient management. While the focus is on pediatric care, there is strong ancillary support to assist with the diverse needs of the patient population. Preferred lodging is conveniently located next to the hospital, ensuring ease of access during your assignment.
Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (Board Certification highly preferred). North Dakota state license preferred; however, IMLC with LOQ is accepted. Current certifications in PALS, BLS, NRP, and DEA are required. A clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
