About the role

Inspector 1The Inspector 1 is responsible for ensuring that all inspections of the products are performed and accepted to customer requirements and company standards.

Essential Functions:

Follow quality processes and procedures to perform detailed inspection in receiving, in-process and final inspection to ensure products conform to customer requirements, rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
Complete required documentation
Perform AS9102 first article inspection and other extensive inspections per specifications? Document all inspections in accordance with company's procedures and processes
Develop and review inspection plans
Ensure quality standards are met for all components and assemblies for final acceptance
Maintain parts history folders, inspection reports and prints/drawings
Calibrate and document hand tools and other inspection equipment
Perform visual inspection
Perform hardness and electrical conductivity testing
Carries out day-to-day work following the departments continuous improvement plan

Skills & Abilities:

Effectively work with mechanical and electronic inspection tools and devices
Working knowledge of Geometric and Dimensional Tolerances (GD&T)
Working knowledge of mylars, optical comparator, thickness gage and profilometer
Knowledge of aerospace specifications, quality codes and standards
Knowledge of Six Sigma preferred
Able to read blueprints and schematics
Must be accurate and detailed with minimum errors
Able to work within specific time schedules/deadlines
Basic computer skills
Perform job with minimum of supervision
Work within a team environment
Respond with sensitivity to people of diverse perspectives
Dependability, excellent attendance, ability to work overtime and other shifts
