About the role

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The IT Project Manager proactively plans, coordinates, and drives the successful delivery of technology projects, ensuring initiatives are completed within established timelines, budgets, scope, and quality standards. The role works closely with IT teams, business stakeholders, technology partners, vendors, and cross-functional departments to define project requirements, establish delivery plans, manage dependencies, and ensure successful implementation. The IT Project Manager will manage project scope, timelines, resources, risks, budgets, and stakeholder expectations while maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels and communicate project status, risks, issues, and recommendations through presentations, meetings, reports, and written communications.
Required Skills and Experience: Responsible for the successful delivery of projects within assigned scope, timeline, and budget. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to establish milestones, work plans, responsibilities, project scope, and tracking routines. Follow up with project team members to ensure deliverables and milestones are completed on schedule. Manage vendors and third-party partners, ensuring contractual commitments, timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met. Review project requirements, documentation, and deliverables and coordinate updates as needed. Participate in regular project meetings to provide status updates, identify risks, and establish mitigation plans. Coordinate project activities to ensure initiatives remain on schedule and project plans accurately reflect current status. Communicate project status, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies to project teams and stakeholders. Establish project goals, processes, milestones, and performance measures. Track project timelines, budgets, costs, forecasts, and financial reporting. Proactively manage project financials to meet planning, forecasting, and reporting requirements. Utilize project management methodologies, tools, and techniques to develop and maintain project plans and scope. Manage stakeholder expectations and maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain project plans at an appropriate level of detail to provide visibility into resource requirements and staffing needs. Partner with Resource Managers to secure appropriate resources and communicate changes in resource requirements throughout the project. Ensure timely and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including status reports, steering committees, leadership, and resource management. Lead, mentor, influence, and support subject matter experts and project team members. Apply project management policies, guidelines, metrics, and templates. Identify opportunities to streamline project management processes, tools, and reporting to improve efficiency and delivery. Track and report project status, ensuring risks are reviewed and mitigated, issues are escalated and resolved, and project changes are properly documented and approved. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including technology partners and suppliers, to achieve project objectives and resolve issues. Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: AND EDUCATIONExperience 5+ years of professional experience in IT project management, preferably involving infrastructure, technology implementations, systems, applications, or enterprise IT initiatives. Experience managing complex technology projects involving multiple stakeholders, teams, vendors, and dependencies. Experience working with technical, business, and end-user requirements in a fast-paced organization. Proven analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to support decisions and ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred.
Skills and Abilities: 3+ years of hands-on project management experience preferred. Ability to think strategically and translate ideas into actionable project plans. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Experience working with project teams to develop requirements, project documentation, status reports, and other project artifacts. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate with and influence senior leadership. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to develop project deliverables and support decision-making. Proven ability to collaborate across teams and achieve results through influence rather than direct authority. Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of an organization. Comfortable working with geographically distributed and cross-functional teams. Ability to provide leadership across multiple teams while maintaining focus on quality, schedule, scope, and budget. Knowledge of IT project management methodologies, processes, tools, and best practices. Experience managing complex IT infrastructure, systems, application, or technology implementation projects. Experience with project management tools and reporting platforms. Strong understanding of project risk management, issue resolution, change management, and dependency management.
Certifications: PMP or other relevant project management certifications preferred. FINANCIAL / QUANTITATIVE RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain budgets for assigned projects. Accountable for delivering projects within approved budgets, timelines, scope, and quality expectations. Understand the financial implications of technology projects, including operating and capital expenses. Ensure efficient utilization of personnel, technology, vendors, and other project resources. Monitor project spending, forecasts, variances, and financial commitments. Identify opportunities to optimize project costs and resource utilization. Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, budget, technology, and equipment, to optimize project delivery. Ensure compliance with applicable IT policies, procedures, governance requirements, and standards.
