Head of Accounting & Compliance

Our client is a fashion company. They seek an Accounting Director to join their Brooklyn, NY office. Create, document, and implement internal accounting policies, workflows, and internal controls aligned with industry best practices, GAAP, and the financial structure of the company Manage and optimize the company's COGS structure Direct the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRSPresent financial results and KPIs, and provide actionable recommendations for strategic decision-making Perform regular gross margin reviews and identify risks and opportunities to improve profitability Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local tax requirements Partner with the Head of Finance to guide finance-related ERP needs and support cross-functional teams in the implementation of systems Supervise AP, AR, inventory accounting, payroll, and day-to-day accounting operations 5+ years of accounting experience~ Public/private/combo experience~ Strong knowledge of technology and ERP implementation~
