Role Overview:
As a Client Onboarding Advisor, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the onboarding lifecycle. You will coordinate the experience from initiation through account opening, Treasury and Payment Solutions implementation, client training, stabilization, and transition to ongoing service. You will manage basic to moderately complex onboarding engagements and work with clients and internal partners to deliver an accurate, timely, compliant, and coordinated experience.
Key Accountabilities:
Serves as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the onboarding lifecycle and coordinates the client experience from initiation through transition to ongoing service. Manages multiple basic to moderately complex onboarding engagements while meeting established service, quality, risk, and compliance expectations. Collects required client information and documentation and guides clients and internal partners through account opening, product setup, testing, training, and onboarding requirements. Reviews documentation for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and alignment with applicable requirements. Identifies missing, unclear, or inconsistent information and coordinates timely resolution with clients and internal partners. Prepares and submits account opening requests and supporting documentation through the appropriate internal processes. Coordinates account opening documentation, approvals, regulatory requirements, dependencies, exceptions, and internal handoffs. Coordinates the setup, configuration, testing, and implementation of basic to moderately complex Treasury and Payment Solutions. Develops and maintains implementation plans, milestones, responsibilities, status updates, and required actions. Leads client onboarding calls, implementation meetings, and training sessions to support client readiness and solution adoption. Partners with Sales, Product, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Client Service, and external stakeholders to coordinate delivery and resolve issues. Monitors onboarding progress and communicates status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and required actions to clients and internal stakeholders. Ensures client information, legal documentation, setup instructions, approvals, and implementation records are complete, accurate, compliant, organized, and ready for audit. Performs or coordinates user acceptance testing and other validation activities when required. Provides support following implementation and helps ensure an effective transition to ongoing service. Identifies opportunities to improve onboarding efficiency, implementation quality, controls, and client experience. Exercises judgment within established guidelines and escalates risks, exceptions, and complex matters as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Typically 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of client onboarding, commercial account opening, implementation, Treasury and Payment Solutions, or related banking activities. Experience coordinating multiple client or operational requests and working across business groups. Working knowledge of regulatory, compliance, risk, quality, and audit requirements applicable to client onboarding.
