Driver (with potential sponsorship into Carpenters Union)

Role Description: The driver role is a full-time, on-site position involving picking up and delivering materials to projects mainly in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. This role involves safely operating company trucks to transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites, ensuring timely delivery to support carpentry and drywall crews. The driver will assist with loading and unloading materials, verifying delivery documentation, and maintaining the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned vehicle. Day-to-day tasks include communicating with site supervisors, following routing and scheduling instructions, complying with all safety and traffic regulations, and representing the company professionally when interacting with team members and site contacts. Drivers typically work in this position for a year or two and are then sponsored into the Carpenters Union as a First Stage Apprentice, building their careers from there. This job is a great way to gain exposure to framing and drywall job site activities, providing opportunities to learn and grow within union construction work. Overtime is typically available.

Qualifications: Demonstrated skills in stake bed truck driving and safe operation of a truck in construction environments. Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid CDL Class A license and a clean driving record in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with supervisors, crew members, and site contacts. Ability to follow schedules, delivery instructions, and safety procedures, including proper loading, securing, and unloading of materials. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to work full-time on-site, with daily check in at company headquarters in Santa Ana, CA.A willingness to learn and follow union work practices and safety protocols. Physical ability to lift and move materials as required and to work in varied weather and site conditions. High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in trucking, construction delivery, or related roles is beneficial.
