Job Description:
We are seeking a Fitter Welder to support structural steel projects and custom metalwork in a fabrication shop in Belle Chasse. Reporting to the Fabrication Manager and Workshop Supervisor, you will work independently, in two-person welding teams, and as part of cross-functional project teams within a large workshop crew.
Responsibilities:
Fabricate structural steel and custom metalwork components.
Fit components according to project requirements.
Interpret mechanical and fabrication drawings.
Cut and grind metal to required specifications.
Perform dimensional inspections and precision measurements.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of fabrication and welding experience.
Experience with structural steel fabrication.
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.
Proficiency in metal cutting and precision measurement.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Commitment to safety awareness.
