Scientist - III (Senior)
Location: South San Francisco, CA
Pay Rate: $76.97/hr.
Duration: 6 MonthsJob Description
Execute and troubleshoot molecular interaction studies supporting antibody discovery, hit identification, lead optimization, and candidate selection. Generate and analyze binding affinity, kinetics, avidity, epitope binning, competition, and developability data for antibodies, bispecifics, and other biologics. Operate and optimize molecular interaction platforms including SPR, Carterra, Biacore, BLI, KinExA, and related technologies. Perform protein characterization and quantitative analysis of protein-protein interactions. Design assay plans, establish appropriate controls, and interpret complex interaction data to support discovery decisions. Optimize assay workflows for robustness, throughput, data quality, and turnaround time. Troubleshoot assay and instrument issues and support protocol, analysis template, and workflow development. Document experimental methods, results, data quality assessments, and conclusions in laboratory systems and technical reports. Support data analysis, visualization, and workflow improvements for molecular interaction studies.
Education:
Master's degree in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Protein Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of hands-on experience .PhD in a related field preferred with 3+ years of hands-on experience .
