About the role

Job Description: The Packout Technician is responsible for carefully packing, moving, cleaning, documenting, storing, and returning customers’ personal belongings during restoration andremediation projects. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, organization, and the ability to treat customers’ belongings and homes with care andrespect. The Packout Technician works closely with Project Managers, Mitigation Technicians, andother team members to ensure content is properly handled throughout the restorationprocess.
Duties & Responsibilities: Carefully pack and protect household contents, furniture, personal belongings, and other items. Label, inventory, photograph, and document contents accurately. Load and unload contents from company vehicles and storage areas. Transport customers belongings to and from job sites, warehouses, and storage facilities. Wrap, box, pad, and otherwise protect items to prevent damage during transportation and storage. Maintain accurate inventory record throughout the pack-out and pack-in process. Perform pack-in by returning items to the customer’s property and placing them appropriately. Follow established procedures for handling damaged, fragile, valuable, or sentimental items. Communicate professionally and respectfully with customers, coworkers, subcontractors, and insurance representatives. Complete required paperwork, photographs, inventory documentation, and job notes accurately and timely.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds or more when necessary. Ability to repeatedly bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and stand for extended periods. Ability to work in environments that may be dusty, wet, hot, cold, or otherwise affected by property damage.
Qualifications: Previous experience in restoration, moving, construction, warehouse, contents, or general labor is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to follow instructions and established procedures. Professional appearance and customer-service attitude. Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, if operating company vehicles.
Work Environment: Work schedules may vary based on Emergency response needs, project deadlines, and customer requirements. Occasional evenings, weekends, or after-hours emergency response may be required. Standard business hours 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with occasional overtime during emergency response events. Fast-paced environment supporting emergency restoration and remediation operations.
