About the role
Corporate Counsel Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Join as Corporate Counsel and take ownership of commercial contracting as the first dedicated in-house attorney. This is a hands-on legal role working with leadership and cross-functional teams.
What you'll do:
Draft, review, negotiate, and redline commercial agreements, including MSAs, SOWs, data licenses, and DPAs.
Work with leadership and people teams on contract matters.
Improve contract templates and negotiation playbooks.
Coordinate specialized matters with outside counsel.
Support adjacent legal needs, including employment-related issues, as the business grows.
What we're looking for:
3 to 6 years of relevant legal experience.
A JD and active California bar admission.
Strong commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience.
In-house experience at an early-stage or growing startup.
Comfort using AI tools in legal workflows.
Practical judgment and willingness to take on adjacent legal work.
Bonus points:
Technology or data licensing experience.
Employment law, contractor classification, or offer-letter experience.
Law-firm training followed by in-house experience.
