Details Float pool position covering Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units within the facility Required to float to a different unit every shift, including to facilities within a 25-mile radius as needed Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM Weekend hours required, with amount varying based on unit need Patient ratios typically 1:4-1:5 on days and 1:5-1:6 on nights depending on unit Uses Abbott Plum Pumps and EPIC EMR No call requirements Requirements Active RN license (State of Maine or compact) required BLS required, ACLS preferred Minimum 2 years inpatient hospital experience required Level 1 Trauma experience in a 500-bed or larger facility required Minimum 1 year travel assignment experience required Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips Driver's License required for consideration 2 professional references required Additional Information Provide nursing care across multiple Medical, Surgical, and Cardiology units based on daily staffing needs Flexibility is essential given the variable float assignments and patient populations Scrubs may be any color as long as clean and professional; jeans, t-shirts, open-toed shoes, and shoes with holes are not permitted Day 1 onboarding includes education modules assigned by the facility's Education Department RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract Candidates residing within 90 miles of any facility in the health system will be considered local and are not eligible for renewal or extension of assignments Local candidates are accepted for this position Candidates who have worked at any facility within the health system in the past 12 months must disclose this information American Traveler Job ID P-.
