This inpatient rehabilitation facility is CARF-accredited and provides intensive rehabilitation services for patients of all ages recovering from strokes, spinal cord and brain injuries, amputations, complex trauma, orthopedic conditions, and more. The unit features a strong collaborative team including physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and hospitalists, all working together to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Opportunity: Board Certified/Board Eligible - Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Medical Director)
Job Details:
- Full-time employed Medical Director opportunity leading a 39-bed CARF-accredited inpatient rehabilitation unit
- Conduct daily rounding with therapists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nurses
- Oversee clinical quality and patient outcomes across the rehabilitation unit
- Work closely with a hospitalist team for medical management supportMD or DO required, licensed and in good standing to practice medicine in the state of IowaBoard Certified and maintaining certification through a nationally recognized board
- Must be eligible for and in good standing with the Hospital Medical Staff, meeting all medical staff bylaws and credentialing requirements
Demonstrated training and experience in inpatient rehabilitation required, including one of the following: completion of a PM&R residency, completion of at least one year of rehabilitation fellowship training, or completion of a one-year hospital internship plus a minimum of two years of experience as part of a multidisciplinary team managing inpatient rehabilitation patients2-year guaranteed salary structureCME allowance provided4 weeks PTO plus 6 holidays and 1 week CMEPSLF eligible position
