Job Description:
Job Description The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner plays a critical role in providing direct patient care within a multidisciplinary team, focusing on both adult and child/adolescent patients. This bilingual and experienced professional manages medication, supports therapy sessions, and intervenes during crises to ensure comprehensive mental health care. With minimal travel required, the practitioner collaborates closely with other healthcare providers to develop and document individualized care plans. At Samsara, the therapeutic relationship matters. Providers see only about 10-12 clients per day to foster communication and promote positive outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage psychiatric medication regimens
- Support therapeutic interventions and sessions
- Provide crisis intervention and immediate care
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Deliver direct patient care to adults and children/adolescents Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year experience in advanced psychiatric nursing Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred Availability 32 hours per week 11-6 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Wednesdays 9 to 5, Friday 9 to 3 Company Description Samsara Healthcare is a mission-driven practice focused on compassionate, accessible, high-quality mental health care.
