Production Manager - Plastics

SUMMARY: This job involves managing all production activities of the company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Will ensure 24/7 operation is run in an efficient optimum manner. Will co-ordinate and work with Project engineer on new installations and projects. Will ensure the maintenance and upkeep of all machines. Motivate and organize skilled personnel to continually improve all production processes, minimize downtime and maximize output, efficiency and quality. Further the skills of department personnel through evaluation, training and support. Spearhead the evaluation of current manufacturing systems for efficiency, productivity and quality and recommend strategic improvements. Maintain all Quality and Safety standards are being followed throughout the production process. Assist/manage the maintenance mechanics with troubleshooting and technical support by using prior knowledge, education, research or networking. Will ensure that all production employee follow all safety rules and procedures and work in a safe manner.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education/training. Prefer 5-7 years production/manufacturing/project management experience. Must be proficient in reading, schematics, drawings and blue print Experience in flexible packaging, plastics, extrusion, polyethylene, polymers, thermoplastics, injection molding, thermoforming, blow molding, HDPE, LLDPE, LDPE, or polypropylene would be a plus.
