Director of Engineering

Key responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of engineering professionals across electrical and civil disciplines. Oversee engineering and design activities across utility-scale renewable energy projects. Manage external engineering firms, consultants, and technical specialists. Provide senior technical guidance to project development and delivery teams. Lead technical and design reviews, resolving engineering challenges as projects progress. Improve engineering processes, standards, and repeatable design approaches across the portfolio. Plan engineering resources around the development and construction pipeline. Support recruitment and continued growth of the engineering function. Ensure designs meet relevant technical, regulatory, and compliance requirements. Work closely with commercial, construction, operations, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle. The position will suit an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in utility-scale renewable energy, ideally including solar PV and BESS. The successful candidate will combine technical depth with team leadership and the ability to establish scalable engineering processes across a growing project portfolio.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Professional Engineering (PE) license strongly preferred.

Required Experience: 10+ years in the energy sector, including 5+ years engineering utility-scale solar projects, with experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and supporting projects through design and construction.
