Details Medical Surgical unit caring for adult and geriatric patients Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30 13-week contract assignment Uses Cerner charting system Requirements Active CA RN license in hand required at time of application (EMSA not accepted) Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, and CPI Blue Card from the Crisis Prevention Institute Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required Minimum 1 year of acute care experience required Community hospital and LTAC experience required Epic EMR experience required and must be noted in work history Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, central and PICC line management, blood product administration, and peripheral line care Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, high flow nasal cannula, ABG interpretation, and tracheostomy care Experience managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, PCA, and telemetry monitoring Experience with wound care/wound vac and isolation precautions/PPE Two supervisor references required for consideration Additional Information Care for a diverse patient population including orthopedic, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, neurological, and surgical cases Responsibilities may include managing total joint replacement, post-cardiac surgery, CVA, and ostomy/feeding tube patients Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate Previous employees must have been separated for at least one year to return as a traveler Prior travel nursing experience is typically required for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-.
