Laboratory Computing Analyst Russell Tobin is partnering with a leading Life Sciences / Laboratory Technology organization to identify a Lab Computing Analyst for an onsite opportunity in Seattle, WA.
Responsibilities:
Implement, monitor, and provide technical support for laboratory IT environments, including systems integrated with scientific instrumentation. Support Windows-based platforms, operating systems, desktop hardware, peripherals, instrument-controlled software, and core desktop applications. Implement customer-specific benchtop computing designs and processes. Manage onboarding, retirement, relocation, and inventory of laboratory equipment and computing assets. Administer Windows security, including user/group permissions, file/folder permissions, Group Policy, and local security policies. Troubleshoot complex technology issues and implement system enhancements, upgrades, and solutions. Serve as a technical support contact for instrument vendors and troubleshoot instrument-related computers. Support new system validations, upgrades, and change management activities. Maintain accurate physical inventories of laboratory equipment, PCs, software, and related assets. Prepare and submit weekly engineering reports and maintain required documentation. Act as a liaison for hardware- and software-related inquiries and participate in client team meetings. Ensure adherence to corporate policies, compliance requirements, and health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of technical experience, OR associate’s degree with 3+ years of technical experience, OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of technical experience. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting Windows-based environments, desktop hardware, software, and peripherals. Strong customer service, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects within established timelines. Experience with Microsoft Office, networking, remote computing, and backup systems preferred. Experience supporting scientific instrumentation or working in a laboratory/life sciences environment preferred. Experience working in validated, GxP, ISO, or FDA-regulated environments preferred. Ability to work onsite in a laboratory environment and wear required PPE.
