Warehouse Assistant

Job description: The successful candidate will be responsible for driving company vehicles to deliver and swap used cooking oil containers at restaurant locations throughout the Tacoma area, as well as checking in, cleaning, and refurbishing containers and tank sensors returning from the field. Key duties include scanning and logging every unit by serial number, pressure washing containers coated in used oil and grease, refurbishing and painting containers, testing and prepping sensors, and loading and unloading trucks. Daily work is tracked on both a smartphone and a computer using Salesforce, Samsara, and OptimoRoute to manage work orders, routes, vehicle records, and equipment. Additional responsibilities include general housekeeping and upkeep to maintain a safe, clean, and organized yard. This is physically demanding, dirty work performed outdoors in all weather. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PMQualificationsAdditional skills and qualifications that may be valuable for this role include: A valid driver's license and clean driving record (required) Experience driving box trucks or pickups with trailers Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, bend, stand, and perform manual labor for extended periods Experience safely operating pressure washing equipment Knowledge of surface preparation, priming, and painting Experience operating a pallet jack Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping Comfort using a smartphone and a computer to work in programs such as Salesforce, Samsara, and OptimoRoute, including scanning barcodes, taking photos, and updating work orders Proficiency using hand tools and power tools effectively and safely Professional and courteous with restaurant customers Reliability and the ability to work independently without close supervision Strongly preferred Experience with PTO (power take-off) systems and pump trucks Experience in the grease trap or used cooking oil industry Diesel mechanical and preventive maintenance experience SkillsDriving
