Job Description
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of adjunct faculty is to deliver instruction in the manner determined by the Music Program. In addition, faculty responsibilities may include:
Preparation of syllabus and teaching of curriculum according to the goals and objectives of the Music Program.
Determine student mastery of material and assign final course grades.
About the Course
MUS 362 – Music of Latin America: Studies musical styles, important musical genres, social functions, characteristics, and instrumentations of Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America. 4.000 Credit Hours. This course is part of the Music Major/minor and the Latinx and Latin American Studies minor.
Required Qualifications:
Must have a master’s, terminal degree, or equivalent experience in the field of instruction or related area.
The demonstrated ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.
We invite candidates with a performance background in diverse Latin music styles, particularly those who have experience directing ensembles in various Latin music genres, to submit their applications.
