Senior Software Engineer

Overview As a Senior Software Engineer on the SSPE team, you will develop and maintain critical ground software for L-Band RF resource planning, driving performance improvements and reliability. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to enhance end-user experience and contribute across design, coding, testing, and documentation. The role blends hands-on embedded software work with systems thinking in a space-focused domain. This is a chance to shape essential space-ground software that supports global connectivity and mission-critical operations. Responsibilities Execute the technical and feature roadmap for the L-Band Table Generator software product Transfer knowledge from SMEs on the L-Band SVRT domain Evaluate system performance and propose improvements for SVRTCollaborate cross-functionally to drive performance enhancements Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies and team rituals Maintain design documentation and SVRT domain knowledge in the knowledgebase Facilitate cross-training on SVRT and on-orbit L-Band needs Ensure tasks meet the team's Definition of Done and standards Foster technical growth and a culture of excellence within the team Key requirements Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering or computer system engineering, or related field 8+ years of software programming experience 5+ years of embedded software development with C++Experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Fisheye/Crucible and Confluence Proficiency in Linux environments Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Knowledge of SDLC processes Excellent communication and stakeholder relation skills Analytical mindset and ability to reason through problems and propose solutions Proactive, knowledge-sharing attitude and strong task prioritization Ability to work with leadership and cross-functional partnersstrong communicationanalytical thinkingproactive knowledge sharingembedded C++LinuxSDLC knowledge
