About the role

PCA Positions We have several 10-month, full-time PCA positions (7 hours per day) open throughout the district to start the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include providing academic support to students under the direction of learning support and/or classroom teachers, and providing personal care/toileting support to individual students as needed. Base pay rate is $14.06 per hour minimum. However, the offered starting rate will be based on experience and internal equity. PCA positions for students in the autistic support classroom include a $2.50 per hour differential!
Qualifications:
  • Must meet Qualified Status with two years of post-secondary education or high school diploma/equivalent and satisfactory completion of the CAPE test, which can be taken after hire
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be cooperative, congenial, and service-oriented
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to organize and handle multiple tasks
