Maintenance & Facilities Manager (Fortune 500 Manufacturing) CapstoneONE Search | New Hartford, CT (On-site)We are representing a globally recognized Fortune 500 aerospace/defense manufacturing organization actively seeking a Maintenance & Facilities Manager to own equipment reliability, facility performance, and capital investment at a growing manufacturing site. This role is highly technical and project-driven, with a strong emphasis on CAPEX, OEE, and reliability.
Position Overview:
Owns CAPEX planning, justification, budgeting, and execution for equipment, utilities, and facility projects Drives OEE improvement by reducing unplanned downtime, speeding changeovers, and eliminating chronic equipment losses Leads reliability strategy, including preventive/predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, and root cause failure analysis Manages installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment and plant rearrangements Develops and tracks maintenance KPIs (OEE, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance, downtime, maintenance spend)Oversees CMMS use, asset management, spare parts strategy, and maintenance planning/scheduling Manages facility systems, including HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, utilities, and building infrastructure Directs outside contractors and service providers, including scopes, quotes, and project execution Partners with Operations, Engineering, and Quality to prioritize equipment improvements and support production goals Supports EHS compliance, including lockout/tagout, safety programs, and facility inspections Provides day-to-day oversight of the maintenance team
Position Requirements:
Degree preferred but not required 5+ years of maintenance, reliability, or plant engineering experience in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated success managing CAPEX projects and improving OEE and equipment reliability Strong knowledge of PM/PdM programs, CMMS platforms, and root cause analysis Experience with PLC-controlled and automated equipment preferred Lean/TPM experience a plus May require U.S. person status under ITAR
