Caregiver

Responsibilities and Duties: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance. Provide companionship and emotional support while promoting dignity, respect, and independence. Prepare nutritious meals according to clients' dietary needs and preferences. Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry, dishwashing, changing bed linens, and maintaining a clean living environment. Assist with medication reminders as outlined in the care plan. Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community outings as needed. Deliver culturally respectful care that promotes dignity, comfort, and emotional well-being. Follow individualized care plans and agency policies and procedures. Safely operate and handle caregiving equipment when required. Observe, document, and promptly report any changes in a client's physical condition, behavior, or emotional well-being. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant care documentation. Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain client confidentiality. Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and other healthcare professionals.

Required Qualifications: Previous experience as a caregiver, CNA, PCA, HHA, or in a similar home care role is preferred. Experience caring for seniors with dementia or Alzheimer's disease is highly preferred. Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful approach to senior care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong observational skills and attention to detail. Reliable, organized, and committed to providing exceptional client care. Cultural awareness and sensitivity toward East and Southeast Asian traditions, customs, and family values. Ability to lift, transfer, and assist clients safely when required. Ability to pass all required background checks and employment screenings.

Requirements: Valid U.S. driver's license is required. A reliable personal vehicle is required. Current automobile insurance is required. Must be willing and able to travel between client homes throughout Northern Virginia and Clean driving record preferred. CNA, PCA, HHA, or equivalent caregiver certification. Current CPR and First Aid certification. Experience providing home care services in a private residence. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
